BBDO Companies Cap the Caples Awards
NEW YORK, March 9 /PRNewswire/ -- BBDO Companies, including its Proximity Worldwide network, were the most awarded agencies at the 29th Annual John Caples International Awards Competition celebrating creative excellence in direct and interactive marketing. BBDO companies won a total of 26 awards, nearly four times more than its closest competitor.
This marks the third year in a row that BBDO companies have dominated the Caples Awards and follows closely the announcement of the winners of this year's Won Report, which analyzes the world's top agencies and agency groups in terms of the quantity and quality of awards won throughout the year in direct and interactive marketing. BBDO companies topped the 2007 Won Report for the fourth year in a row and CP Proximity in Spain was the single most- awarded direct agency in the world.
In all, nine different BBDO companies from six different countries contributed to the network's Caples success receiving six first place awards, thirteen second place and seven third place trophies. The award-winning agencies included: CP Proximity, Spain; Proximity London; AIM Proximity, New Zealand; Proximity#ttp, South Africa; Clemenger Proximity, Australia; Proximity Prague; Craik Jones in London; Net#work BBDO, South Africa; and Clemenger BBDO Direct in Wellington, NZ (see details below).
