All-Tag Sues Checkpoint Systems For Patent Infringement

(RTTNews) - All-Tag Security America, Inc. said Monday that it has filed a lawsuit against Checkpoint Systems, Inc. (CKP) alleging patent infringement of its resonance security label, a non-reusable anti-shoplifting product.

The lawsuit was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

All-Tag alleges that Checkpoint copied its unique resonance security label design with its Micro EP PST label, violating the ALL-Tag patent and profiting from ALL-Tag's invention. The evidence in the suit alleges that Checkpoint Systems refused to halt infringement after repeated attempts by All-Tag to resolve the issue amicably.

Checkpoint Systems alleged violation has caused ALL-Tag substantial and irreparable injury and damages in excess of $50 million, All-Tag claimed.
