Japan Jobless Rate Stable In November

(RTTNews) - The unemployment rate in Japan remained stable as expected in November, data from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications revealed Friday.

The seasonally adjusted jobless rate came in at 3.5 percent in November, the same as in October. This was in line with the consensus estimate.

The job-to-applicant ratio was 1.1 in November, matching forecasts and unchanged from the previous month. The participation rate decreased 0.3 percentage points over the year to 59.4 percent in November.

The number of unemployed persons in November was 2.19 million, a decrease of 30,000 or 12 percent from the corresponding month of the previous year.
