Anchor Capital Investments Ltd (NSX:ACI) is pleased to announce it has acquired 90% of the ordinary voting shares in Al Hamra Hotels and Resorts Ltd (Al Hamra Hotels). Al Hamra Hotels owns 50.96% of the shares in PT Al Hamra lnternasional which, in turn owns restaurants located in Surabaya and on Lombok Island in Indonesia.

Anchor has agreed in return for its interest in Al Hamra Hotels to pay all costs associated with the company's listing on both the National Stock Exchange of Australia (NSX) and Frankfurt Stock Exchange as well as the costs associated with the raising of up to US$15 million in the 12 months following listing on the FSE.

PT Al Hamra lnternasional plans to open a chain of new restaurants located in throughout Java including restaurants in Djakarta, Balam Sumatra, Balik Pap on East Kalimantan and Makassar in South Sulawesi. In addition it is planning to construct and operate the Alhamara Sofyan Hotel which will be a hotel and resort with 156 rooms, as well as restaurants, shops and conference rooms. The hotel will be located on the island of Lombok which is the heart of Halal tourism in Indonesia.

In respect of the investment Mr. NA Mogul, President of Anchor Capital Investments said, "This is our first entry into the Hotel and Resort business in Indonesia and we are very excited to enter the sector in the exciting and emerging market of Indonesia."
