Allscripts Q2 Loss Narrows

(RTTNews) - Allscripts Healthcare Solutions, Inc. (MDRX) reported a net loss for the second quarter of $18 million or $0.09 per share, compared with a net loss of $23 million or $0.13 per share for the year-ago quarter.

Excluding items, adjusted net income for the second quarter was $16 million or $0.09 per share, compared with $9 million or $0.05 per share in the second quarter of 2013.

Total revenue for the second quarter increased to $351 million from $345 million a year ago, while total adjusted revenue grew to $354 million from $347 last year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.09 per share on revenue of $352.63 million for the second quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
