Video: TGH at Home, an Innovative Program Providing Personalized Care and Improved Patient Access

TGH at Home is a program that enables Tampa General Hospital (TGH) to treat lower-acuity patients in the comfort of their own home versus an inpatient setting.

TAMPA, Fla., Nov. 3, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- When our world locked down in March 2020, many of our lives changed forever. With hospitals at capacity and emergency rooms stretched thin, medical professionals were forced to find ways to treat patients in new, innovative ways. This was one of the ways, Tampa General Hospital's brand new program, TGH at Home, was born.

TGH at Home, the first program of its kind in the Tampa Bay area, is a care model designed to provide specific patients with hospital-level care in the comfort of their home. In addition to in-home visits from health care providers, TGH at Home includes virtual visits and remote monitoring of vital signs 24 hours a day. Our care team of doctors and nurses stays in close contact with each patient to monitor their condition and make any treatment changes needed for an optimum recovery.
