Synta CEO Safi Bahcall Resigns

(RTTNews) - Synta Pharmaceuticals Corp. (SNTA) said Monday that Safi Bahcall has resigned as President, Chief Executive Officer and a member of the company's Board of Directors, effective immediately.

Bahcall has been replaced by a newly formed Executive Committee of the Board, chaired by Keith Gollust, the company's Chairman of the Board of Directors, and include current Director Robert Wilson and newly appointed Director Paul Friedman.

The committee will serve as the principal executive body for the company until such time as a Chief Executive Officer is named.
