Swedbank Divests Juristbyrån

Regulatory News:

Swedbank AB (STO:SWEDA)(OSE: SWED)(LSE:SWK) divests its subsidiary Juristbyrån AB to Familjens jurist AB. Familjens jurist aims to continue the franchise operation in its current form. Through a cooperation agreement with Familjens jurist, Swedbank will continue to offer advisory services in both private and family law with a wider offering and a broader geographic reach. The Savings banks will also be offered to enter into cooperation agreements with Familjens jurist.

"I am very pleased that Familjens jurist with its genuine knowledge will assume ownership of Juristbyrån. The cooperation agreement with Familjens jurist will enable us to continue to offer our customers advisory services in private and family law in additional locations throughout the country. Moreover, our customers will get access to an even broader offering through Familjens jurist”, says Birgitte Bonnesen, Head of Swedish Banking at Swedbank.

"We are investing in focused efforts to secure continuous growth for franchisees as well as our existing operations. The long-term cooperation with Swedbank, combined with benefits from having the two separate modes of operation, will provide us with flexibility, synergies and economies of scale”, says Carl Georgsson, CEO at Familjens jurist.

The acquisition is based on the conditionality of no objections from the Swedish Competition Authority (Konkurrensverket).
