SCANA Corp. Reveals 7% Retreat In Q4 Earnings

(RTTNews) - SCANA Corp. (SCG) reported a profit for fourth quarter that decreased compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line totaled $98 million, or $0.69 per share. This was down from $105 million, or $0.73 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.75 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 20.7% to $0.96 billion. This was down from $1.21 billion last year.
