SCANA Corp. Q3 Income Rises 27%

(RTTNews) - SCANA Corp. (SCG) released earnings for its third quarter that climbed from last year.

The company said its bottom line advanced to $189 million, or $1.32 per share. This was higher than $149 million, or $1.04 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.1 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 1.9% to $1.09 billion. This was up from $1.07 billion last year.
