SCANA Corp. Q2 Income Advances 6%

(RTTNews) - SCANA Corp. (SCG) released earnings for its second quarter that increased from last year.

The company said its bottom line came in at $105 million, or $0.74 per share. This was higher than $99 million, or $0.69 per share, in last year's second quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.74 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 6.4% to $905 million. This was down from $967 million last year.
