Pre-market Movers For Nov 20 (YHOO, JCP, DE, LOW)

(RTTNews) - Gainers:

Yahoo! Inc. (YHOO) is rising 2 percent to $35.40. The company increased its share buyback authorization by $5.0 billion. The company also said it proposes to offer $1.0 billion of its convertible senior notes due 2018 in a private placement.

J. C. Penney Company, Inc. (JCP) is rising 7 percent to $9.33 after the retailer said it expects fourth quarter comparable store sales to improve both sequentially and year-over-year. However, the company reported a third quarter net loss that widened from a year ago. Net sales declined 5.1 percent and missed the consensus estimate. Comparable-store sales slipped 4.8 percent.

Deere & Company (DE) is rising 3 percent to $85.51. The company's fourth quarter earnings increased from the prior year, even as revenues saw a slight decline. Income for the quarter and full year was higher than in any previous fourth quarter or full year. Looking ahead, the company expects fiscal 2014 equipment sales to decrease about 3 percent, with first quarter equipment sales expected to be down 2 percent.

Decliners:

Lowe's Companies Inc. (LOW) is declining 3 percent to $49.00. The company's third quarter profit improved 26 percent, as sales climbed over 7 percent. The company raised its 2013 earnings per share guidance to $2.15 and sale growth guidance to nearly 6 percent, with comparable store sales expected to increase by about 5 percent. The company also noted that home improvement industry is poised for persisting growth in the fourth quarter and further acceleration in 2014.
