Navy Taps CSRA for its First Managed-Services Cloud Program

FALLS CHURCH, Va., Sept. 28, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Department of the Navy (DON) has chosen CSRA Inc. (NYSE: CSRA) to provide cloud computing services for its Research and Development Establishment (NR&DE). The one-year, potential $34.6 million blanket purchase agreement (BPA) includes two one-year options.

Under this BPA, CSRA will provide advanced cloud migration, engineering, and maintenance services from Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure to the Navy's Science and Technology (S&T) community. This will enable the Navy to accelerate its research and foster next-generation technology to power the fleet of tomorrow.

The Navy's S&T community is charged with developing and testing bleeding-edge capabilities. This cloud BPA will allow them to conduct that vital mission in secure, cost effective cloud environments, while accelerating the transition of these capabilities to warfighters across the globe.
