Lincoln National Corp. Q2 Income Rises 1%

(RTTNews) - Lincoln National Corp. (LNC) released a profit for its second quarter that rose from last year.

The company said its bottom line came in at $373 million, or $1.56 per share. This was up from $371 million, or $1.46 per share, in last year's second quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.57 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 0.6% to $3.40 billion. This was down from $3.42 billion last year.
