Family Dollar Mourns Loss Of Board Member Mark Bernstein

(RTTNews) - Family Dollar Stores, Inc. (FDO) announced the passing of Mark Bernstein, a member of the Company's Board of Directors, on April 27. Bernstein was among Family Dollar's longest tenured Board Members, after joining the Board in 1980. He most recently served as Lead Director from 2004 to January 2013.

In addition to his service on the Family Dollar board, Bernstein formerly served as president of Temple Beth El, the Mecklenburg County Bar, and the Charlotte Symphony. He is also remembered as being an integral part of bringing the Levine Center for the Arts from conception to reality.
