Experienced Healthcare Executive Mike Heenan Joins StrategyCorp

Heenan joins StrategyCorp's roster of public affairs, communications, and management consulting professionals

TORONTO, Oct. 16, 2017 /CNW/ - StrategyCorp is pleased to announce that experienced healthcare administrator and thought leader Mike Heenan has joined its team. Mike comes to StrategyCorp after more than 15 years in senior executive roles in Ontario's hospitals, most recently as Vice-President at St. Joseph's Health Centre (Toronto) where he was responsible for strategy, quality, risk, patient experience, performance, communications, and leadership development.

While at St. Joseph's Health Centre, Mike led the hospital in achieving Accreditation with Exemplary Standing with 100% of Required Organizational Practices met. Mike was also responsible for leading the implementation of the quality improvement plan, resulting in significant improvements to ER wait times, infection rate reductions, patient satisfaction and medication reconciliation. He has also served in senior roles with Trillium Health Partners and St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton.

An Assistant Professor within the Faculty of Health Sciences at McMaster University, Mike teaches health quality management and patient safety at the School of Rehabilitation Sciences and the DeGroote School of Business, and is pursuing a PhD in health management. Having published work in the areas of quality, governance, measurement and physician engagement, Mike is also a review editor for Healthcare Quarterly, one of Canada's most read health journals.
