Everest Re Group, Ltd. Q4 Profit Increases, beats estimates

(RTTNews) - Everest Re Group, Ltd. (RE) reported earnings for its fourth quarter that increased from the same period last year and beat the Street estimates.

The company's bottom line came in at $496 million, or $12.66 per share. This compares with $431 million, or $10.94 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.

Excluding items, Everest Re Group, Ltd. reported adjusted earnings of $478 million or $12.21 per share for the period.
